Parks should take more care with eggs

The Lindenhurst Park District did a wonderful job at John Janega Park. They assured people that they would be creating a safe habitat for the existing wildlife. It appears they have changed their minds and are smothering the geese eggs by coating them with oil.

Before this brutal measure, there was a controlled burn, which would have destroyed the nest if someone had not asked them to stop. All four of the eggs were destroyed.

Next time, be less brutal and leave one or two eggs.
