With concealed carry, all must be cautious

I could not agree more with Your Views friend Fran Puchli on March 17. She writes of her concerns of the implementation of concealed carry of firearms here in Illinois.

What a step backward!

I cannot begin to imagine the return of "wild, wild West" days of the past. As she states: "The majority, big majority, of those who choose to own a firearm, for any purpose, support background checks for all guns."

I can visualize the occasional street disagreement and the dreadful possibilities. As if we in Illinois aren't already tarnished by violence, drug dealing and the good old boys. All I can say is people, be careful!
