Bunco event aids local animal rescue

Homes for Endangered and Lost Pets will host its first Bunco event at 6 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Riverview Banquets, 1117 N. Washington Ave., Batavia. For $25 per person, attendees will play the game, enjoy appetizers, take part in the silent auction and have access to a cash bar. All proceeds will be donated to HELP.

To register, email Buncoforpets@yahoo.com.

If you haven't played the game before, there will be instructions and this is a very easy game to play.

Some auction items are Panera Bread for a year, Blue Man Group tickets, Wolves tickets, wine baskets, beauty baskets, health baskets, Paramount tickets, Zanies tickets, Chicago Skyline tour, Pampered Chef basket, Dove Chocolate basket, dog supply baskets and more.

HELP has been rescuing dogs and cats in Chicago's Western suburbs for almost 30 years. HELP receives no government funding; it depends entirely on fundraisers and private contributions to continue its work. No one at HELP takes a salary; all donated funds go where they are most needed - to vetting, feeding, training, and re-homing rescued animals.
