Things to consider on unionized athletes

Looks like the "semi-professional" college athletes will soon get their chance to join a union. This may open up a few ways to also solve many other fiscal problems.

As paid employees, will their scholarships be taxed as income and the schools considered taxable corporations?

Maybe a new tax on union dues and corporate lobbyists that fuel excessive political contributions could reduce the annual blight of political signs, and allow a few non-millionaires to seek political office.
