Hoffman Estates' Historical Sites Commission and the Hoffman Estates Museum will present "Discovering Our Civil War History" from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at village hall, 1900 Hassell Road. Highlights: Victorian women's and children's clothing; reenactors in uniform from the 8th Regiment of Illinois Volunteer Cavalry demonstrating camp life and talking about the regiment's participation in the war.
