3 hurt in St. Charles-area rollover crash

A Streamwood woman, a St. Charles teen and an Oswego man were injured in a crash Thursday night near St. Charles, Campton Hills Police Chief Dan Hoffman said.

The two-car crash, in which one of the vehicles rolled over, happened at 8:28 p.m. at Route 64 and Dean Street in Campton Hills.

Sarah Lundgren, 29, of Streamwood, was driving a Chevrolet Aveo west on Dean when she failed to stop at a stop sign at Route 64. The Aveo was broadsided by an Econoline van driven by Jose Alvarado, 50, of Oswego.

Lundgren, Alvarado, and 15-year-old Alissa Van Dorin of St. Charles Township, a passenger in the Aveo, were taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva. Alvarado and Van Dorin were then flown to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, where they underwent surgery, Hoffman said. Good Sam is a Level I trauma center.

Hoffman said the crash is still being investigated, and no citations have been issued. Hoffman said it appeared Lundgren was unfamiliar with the area and did not realize there was a stop sign on Dean.
