Your children's eyes are on you, drivers

Success - Article sent! close

I find it quite disappointing to see so many parents defying driving and parking laws when their children accompany them. Being a parent requires continually setting good examples for your children so they can distinguish right from wrong. Double parking or using handicapped spaces, blocking driveways around schools, disregarding no-idling signs for more than 15 minutes and talking on cellphones while driving are some of the irresponsible behaviors I see by schools, libraries and park district facilities.

Please, parents: Your children will not respect you or laws if you break them.
