It was easy to see why the job was slated for this week, while Elgin Community College students were on spring break.

Massive air conditioning units were removed from ECC buildings Monday, to be replaced with new units.

Each unit required its own truck to be hauled away, and with that much future scrap metal being lifted into the air, the job took up a large portion of the parking lot on the college's southwest side.
