St. Charles Swim Team finishes second in the state

The St. Charles Swim Team achieved a second-place finish at the 2014 Illinois Swimming Inc. Age Group Championships held March 13-16 at University of Illinois at Chicago.

The championship features the top swimmers ages 9 to 14 from across the state in a three-day meet.

St. Charles Swim Team swimmers who won individual events over the weekend are: Payton Baxter, 10 & Under Girls 100 Breast; Audrey Guyett, 13-14 Girls 400 IM; Linda Licari, 11-12 Girls 200 IM; Frankie Niziolek, 13-14 Boys 400 IM; and Nick Vance, 11-12 Boys 100 Back.

SCST Relays that are State Champions are the 10 & Under Girls 200 Medley Relay of Ainslie Milo, Payton Baxter, Molly Yetter and Lily Stavropoulos; the 10 & Under Boys 200 Medley Relay of Alec Filipovic, Ethan Marlowe, Ethan Kos-Dondlinger and Jack Redden; 10 & Under Boys 200 Free Relay of Alec Filipovic, Ethan Marlowe, Ethan Kos-Dondlinger and Jack Redden; and the 11-12 Boys 400 Free Relay of Nate Baxter, Nick Vance, Henry Bliss and Matthew Nagler.
