A man robbed the First Merit Bank Monday afternoon in Elmhurst, police said.

At about 1:14 p.m., a white male in his 40s entered the bank at 700 W. North Ave. and took an undisclosed amount of money, according to the FBI's Bandit Tracker Chicago website. The man was described as 6 feet tall, with a medium build and gray hair wearing a tan jacket and carrying a black bag.
