Cell tower bad idea for Fox River Grove

I was a trustee in Fox River Grove. The last time AT&T came up with the idea for a cell tower, we rejected it back then and agreed they could use the ski tower or the water tower, which I believe they are now doing.

The reason for denying at the time we were privy to a coverage map of the existing cell towers at the time. FRG was well covered and also parts of Barrington Hills, Lake Barrington and Cary. We also found out that the towns surrounding FRG refused to have the tower built in their area. Plus constituents opposed it.

As to the economics of cell sites, both the village and Norge receive compensation from the sites. If the proposed tower goes up will the village lose their compensation when ATT moves and possibly anyone else using the water tower moves.
