The news article on the front page of your March 8, issue; "If state had term limits ..." Are all of us in Illinois really dumb, or do just the politicians think so?

You quoted Sen. Terry Link as saying; "Do you want a team to come out, a baseball team to come out with 25 rookies? No. What's gonna happen (25 rookies), you're going to end up with a team that's very bad and not producing what you want."

Wait. What? Like you (and all current colleagues) have done any "producing" in your long career in politics in Illinois? You can't get the state out of debt, you can't get any pension funds fixed, you can't get anything done.

At least with new "rookies" we have a 50/50 chance they will do better than what has been done so far -- nothing.
