Government isn't a business

Success - Article sent! close

I would like to remind those voters who might be tempted to vote for a candidate who wants to run the government like a business that government is not a business. As a great Republican president reminded us, it is "Government of the People, by the People and for the People" -- not of, by or for business.

It is the duty of government to care for its citizens. They are the ones paying for (and fighting for) the government. That goes for national, state and local government. When we forget that and our political leaders forget that, eventually we will lose our unique and wonderful place in the world.
