Buffalo Grove police SUV in crash
A Buffalo Grove police SUV was involved in a crash late Thursday afternoon when it was struck from behind by another vehicle, authorities said.
The two-vehicle crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of Lake-Cook Road, just west of Raupp Boulevard, about 5:30 p.m., police and fire officials said.
The police officer and driver of the other vehicle, a Ford Taurus, were transported to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were determined to be "not serious," said police Sgt. Scott Eisenmenger.
No citations have been issued at this point, and police are still investigating the crash, Eisenmenger said.
