Park Ridge woman to head Chicago area Girl Scouts

Nancy Wright of Park Ridge will be CEO of the nation's largest Girl Scout council beginning Monday, March 17. She will lead Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana with operations in 245 communities, nearly 25,000 adult volunteers and a professional staff.

"Her vision for the future centers on ensuring that the council serves the contemporary needs and interests of current and potential girl and adult members in innovative and fiscally responsible ways," said Karen Layng, president of the council's board.

Wright most recently served as president of Blue Plate Catering, a multimillion dollar food business. Previously, she was vice president of guest services at The Museum of Science and Industry. She also has worked for Cultural Solutions and Aramark.
