Artists 18 and older from Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana are sought for a contest sponsored by the Lake County Heritage Farm Foundation, in cooperation with the Lake County Discovery Museum. "The Farm: Images from the Heartland" involves farm scenes -- buildings, equipment, animals, farm fields, crops, and people. The art will be juried, and prizes will be awarded. Work of winning artists will be displayed from Aug. 23 through Nov. 4 at the museum in the Lakewood Forest Preserve near Wauconda. Any original two-dimensional medium reproducible by photographic process is acceptable. Computer-generated or digital art must be labeled as such. Original photography is also encouraged. Entries will be accepted until June 1. Visit www.lchff.org for a prospectus, including deadline details and entry form.
