Liberals must be fair in their criticisms

When George W. Bush was president, liberals were right to criticize his executive orders that bypassed Congress and the checks and balances our Founders intended. Fast forward to the run-up to replace him in 2008, the current president echoed the same sentiments and promised he would not conduct his presidency in the same manner.

But all that has changed. And now the same liberals who vilified Bush for what he had done have all but forgotten about what they rallied for in support with Obama over five years ago.

When a right-leaning president gets elected and uses President Obama's tactics to do whatever he wants, bypassing Congress in the same manner, I hope that liberals will remember their support for such a strategy with their guy and will not criticize the other side for doing the same.

Of course, that is highly unlikely.
