Learn to go Green at Home at Spring Valley Program

Save money and the environment by incorporating "green" tips into your home life.

The Spring Valley Nature Club is sponsoring the first in a series of environmental programs offered at no charge.

Andrea Vollf, principal of sustainable concepts and member of Schaumburg's Environmental Committee, will discuss techniques to save money and preserve the environment.

Attendees will learn to reduce power and water use, be self-sufficient and leave a smaller carbon footprint. A question and answer session will follow the program.

The program is 6:30 to 8 p.m., March 5 at Spring Valley Nature Center, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road.
