Bartlett police sergeant graduates from Northwestern University program

Bartlett police Sgt. Scott Yarwood recently graduated from Northwestern University's 10-week School of Police Staff and Command program held in North Aurora.

Students in the program, which educates law enforcement officers on serving in management positions, are tested on a variety of subjects, including budgeting, human resources and applied statistics.

Yarwood was one of 41 students to complete a course running from September to January.

Since joining the department in 1994, Yarwood has won several honors, including the department's Police Officer of the Year award. He currently serves as Bartlett's sergeant of investigations.
