Bag-tossing in Elgin helps people with disabilities

With the workbenches pushed aside and music playing in the background, more than 15 teams of weekend warriors battled to see who was top dog at the Association for Individual Development's fourth annual Bean Bag Tournament and Bunco Game fundraiser Saturday at the AID Elgin Training Center.

The players manned eight stations of cornhole as the contest kicked off Saturday afternoon.

The fundraiser benefits the Association for Individual Development, which has been working for 52 years to provide services to people who have developmental, physical and or mental disabilities.

"It's fun and it's a great way to raise money for a good cause" said Todd Pliuksis, who made the trip from New Lenox to compete in the tournament.
