Algonquin man on 'most wanted' list arrested

A man on the McHenry County Top Ten Fugitive list was arrested this week, sheriff's officials said in a news release on Thursday.

Frank J. Naples, 36 of Algonquin, was wanted on unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and failure to appear for possession of a controlled substance, according to a news release. He had been on the McHenry County “Top Ten Most Wanted” list since Nov. 19, 2013.

On Tuesday evening Naples was taken into custody at a residence in Fox River Grove by the McHenry County Sheriff's Office Apprehension Unit and the United States Marshal Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.

On Sept. 27, 2013, the McHenry County Sheriff's Office obtained an arrest warrant Naples on charges that allege he possessed and sold heroin during an undercover operation with the sheriff's office. On Sept. 28, officials learned Naples had fled the McHenry County area and was possibly out of state.

A second warrant was obtained for Naples for failing to appear on an earlier possession of controlled substance charge and he was added to the most wanted list in November.

Naples was ordered held on $60,000 bond and will next appear in court at 9 a.m. on Friday morning.
