d'Vine Wine moving, expanding craft beer selection

The owners of a small, family-owned Palatine wine and gift store were allowed to move to a larger location by the Palatine village council at their public meeting Monday night.

d'Vine Wine and Gifts, which was established in 2011 by owners Tom and Elizabeth Goeller at a small space at 742 E. Dundee Road in Palatine will be moving to a new location 243 E. Northwest Hwy. in the Palatine Plaza.

"We think it is a great move for us and our customers because the new facility has better parking and better access in and out of the shopping center," Tom Goeller said.

Besides having more space, the only thing that will change for the store in the new location is they will be able to sell as much craft beer as they want. Previously, their license with the village limited the beer selection to 10 percent of shelf space.

Tom Goeller said their children Megan, 24, and Chris, 22, also work at the store.

He said they intend to move to their new location by the end of March.
