• A man tried to scam a woman at her home on the 100 block of Crestview around 11 a.m. Jan. 26. He came to her house and told her he was with her snow removal company and she needed to pay him $100 for the next month of snow removal. He also stated he needed hot water to melt the ice on the outside stairs. The man entered the home and waited for a few minutes then left. The resident checked with the snow removal company who advised they were not the ones who came to her house.

• Thieves stole a wallet around 2 p.m. Jan. 27 at 1111 W. Lake-Cook Road.

• A motorist drove away from a gas station at 1200 Arlington Heights Road around 9 a.m. Feb. 6 without paying for the gas.
