Entitled to things you didn't earn?

Entitled to things you didn't earn?

I am one of the 99 percent. However, unlike many of the 99 percent who write letters to this column, I don't think the government owes me anything. I am perfectly content to earn my living; it feels good.

I do find it puzzling when people want the government to take care of them. When they feel entitled to things they didn't earn, or attempt to earn, it seems that they have forgotten the words of one of the most beloved Democrats of the 20th century, President John F. Kennedy, "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."
