Enjoy Irish tea, entertainment at Arlington museum

As Henry James wrote, “There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.”

Join the Arlington Heights Historical Museum for an afternoon Irish Tea from 1:30-3:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 9. Pots of hot Irish tea will be served with sweets and savory treats. The museum is at 110 W. Fremont St., in Arlington Heights.

Entertainment is by the duo Clog Cailini, which is Gaelic for bell girls, performing a combination of Irish and traditional tunes. Kris Ward on the handbells is accompanied by Carol Frieburg on the piano.

The Irish Tea is for adults and children ages 6 and over. Fee is $22 per person. Register at ahmuseum.org/ClassesPrograms or go to any Arlington Heights Park District registration office to sign up.
