Blackhawks alumni to play outdoor hockey in Rosemont

Chicago Blackhawks alumni and other celebrities will face off against each other in an outdoor hockey game Friday, Feb. 7, at Rosemont's entertainment district.

Organizers of the inaugural Winter Frost Face Off outdoor hockey series announced Wednesday their lineup for the Classic Puck Off game, which kicks off a 24-day schedule of games at MB Financial Park featuring local youth, high school, college and semipro teams.

Blackhawks alumni scheduled to participate include Adrian Aucoin, Murray Bannerman, Eric Daze, Dave Mackey, Brian Noonan, Reid Simpson and Gene Ubriaco. Other professional players scheduled to play are Gino Cavallini, Jose Charbonneau, Mark Kurzawski, Steve Maltais, Steve Martins and Bob Nardella.

Other celebrities who will be playing include Classic Puck Off captain Ryan Chiaverini, co-host of ABC 7's Windy City Live; ABC 7 anchor Ravi Baichwal; ESPN 1000 radio hosts Carmen DeFalco and John Jurkovic; and U.S. Rep. Mike Quigley.

Admission to the game, which begins at 4:30 p.m., is free. A meet-and-greet is scheduled afterward at Five Roses Pub.

MB Financial Park is located east of the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) near Balmoral Avenue.
