Group to present ‘Alice in Wonderland’ in Palatine

ArtReach Educational Theatre in partnership with Spotlite Theatrix Production Company is staging “Alice in Wonderland.”

“Alice in Wonderland” will be presented at the Bethel Lutheran Church, 3839 W. Frontage Road, Palatine, at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8. “Alice in Wonderland” tells a tale of a little girl named Alice, who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world of strange and peculiar characters. The story deals with various plays on logic — making it popular with adults as well as children.

The production is being directed by Jonah Parra (of Chicago) with assistant direction and choreography by Dan Walsh (of Chicago).

Principal cast members include Jodie Lloyd (of Itasca) as Alice, Matt Goodmanson (of Arlington Heights) as the Mad Hatter, Allison Nakazawa (of Palatine) as the Cheshire Cat, Rose Gould (of Palatine) as the Caterpillar, Kevin Foss (of Palatine) as the White Rabbit, Peter Johns (of Palatine) as the Fish Footman/Tweedle Dee, Sam Gould (of Palatine) as the March Hare/Tweedle Dum, Sophie Kaegi (of Palatine) as the Doormouse, Debra Langland (of Schaumburg) as the Queen of Hearts, Tony Uzzle (of Algonquin) as the King of Hearts, Isabel Kaegi (of Palatine) as the Gryphon/Humpty Dumpty, Sammi Goodman (of Arlington Heights) as the Dutchess, and Gail Goodman (of Palatine) as the Cook.

The mission of ArtReach Educational Theatre is to expose children to all aspects of theater, music and dance. We accept any child with a genuine interest in the arts from age 5 through high school. Beginner to advanced performing levels are open. All children are challenged and encouraged. ArtReach Educational Theatre offers private voice lessons, dance and acting classes, advanced musical theater workshops and summer arts camp programs in Palatine.
