Offended by all-Spanish flier

I received a flier in the mail from a local bank and two others regarding a loan program. It was all in Spanish. I feel the banks actually discriminated against me as I cannot read it. Don’t they want English-speaking customers? What if I want to be offered the program?

I feel the banks and others that put things only in Spanish are actually doing a disservice to Hispanics. If everything is given to them in Spanish, they have no incentive to learn English. Talk to any foreign language teacher and they will tell you that the only way to learn a language is to be completely immersed in it. If Hispanics want to be assimilated into this country, they need to learn the language. Our language is what unites this country.

We need to encourage Hispanics to learn English, not make it easy for them not to.
