Tower Lakes' Rick Steffen named Sales Director of Franchise Accounts for Volo's Atom AMPD

Tower Lake's resident Rick Steffen has been named Sales Director of Franchise Accounts for Atom AMPD in Volo, Illinois. Atom AMPD, LLC is an enterprise-level communications Company providing scalable networking, security, wireless and telephony solutions for any business ranging from small to Fortune 100.

“As Atom AMPD expands our networking communications capabilities into the franchise marketplace, we will be able to leverage Rick's proven strong leadership experience in channel and product development in food service equipment, restaurant point of sale technology and manufacturing,” said Daniel Field, CEO of Atom OS

Steffen has over 40 years of experience and success in the areas of education, business development and supply chain management. He has worked in a wide variety of roles and industries, including working with large publically held corporations as well as privately held companies and startups.

Previously, on behalf of the McDonalds Equipment Supply Chain, Steffen managed the successful rollout of McDonalds Corporation's “Made for You” production system as well as the chain's conversion to a P.C. based Point of Sale system. The implementation of these successful systems required a close working relationship and collaboration with franchisee leadership and supplier management teams.

As Vice President of Sales at Illinois Range Company, Steffen's team grew top line sales with many of the world's largest franchise organizations. As Director of National Accounts for Carrier Commercial Refrigeration, a business unit of United Technologies, Steffen successfully integrated the eight companies comprising this group into a cohesive unit that created new opportunities and increased sales.

Steffen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University and attended graduate school at Northern Illinois University.
