Wealthy continue to ignore the poor

I don’t care if some “welfare” recipients don’t want to work. Those who really anger me are the hedge fund execs who buy out profitable corporations and raid the pension funds before closing down the company and firing all the workers. I also an angry at the hugely profitable corporations who pay no taxes and still get federal subsidies while benefiting from American infrastructure, the judicial system and our public services.

I am angry at Walmart, whose family has more money than 40 percent of Americans while paying such low wages that their employees have to depend on taxpayer funded Medicaid and food stamps to survive.

I don’t care if a few Americans take advantage of our society’s benefits. I do care that many wealthy Americans can never have enough money and don’t care who they harm. To quote Ted Kennedy, “Where does the greed stop?”
