Four charged with stealing bread trays from Bartlett restaurant

Bartlett police arrested four men Dec. 11 on misdemeanor charges alleging they stole about 30 plastic bread trays from a local restaurant, authorities say.

Xiao Ping Xu, 48; Xiao Bing Xu, 44; Yuan Huang, 24; and Haujie Huang, 19, all of the 1700 block of McCormick Lane in Hanover Park, each face one count of theft stemming from their arrests last week.

According to police, officers at about 8:30 p.m. Dec. 11 responded to a restaurant in the 900 block of South Route 59 to investigate a theft that just occurred. A witness reported that several people stole the plastic bread trays from behind the business and then drove away in a silver colored 2000 Chevrolet Venture.

Bartlett officers located the vehicle near the intersection of County Farm Road and Goddard Lane and arrested the four men, police said. They were all released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond with an assigned court date of Jan. 7 at the DuPage County courthouse in Wheaton.
