Storyteller entertains children with winter tales

Storyteller Paddy Lynn captivated children with her storyacting program Color My World on Tuesday at the Lake Villa District Library.

Fifty children and parents listened to and participated in three wintertime stories — “The Gingerbread Girl” by Lisa E. Campbell, “Stone Soup” by Ann McGovern and “The Mitten” by Jan Brett.

Children were excited as they acted out various characters, such as foxes and peasant girls, and objects, such as carrots and onions, in the stories as a part of the mini-plays at the library.

“The kids love it and eat it up. They want to get involved and go crazy and they are so excited to get up and be a part of the show,” Lynn said.
