Elgin Symphony Orchestra puts on “Magical” holiday performance

The Elgin Symphony Orchestra’ performed its annual Magical Holiday Concerts this weekend at the Hemmens Cultural Center in Elgin.

Resident Conductor Stephen Squires led the way through the performance, which included stagings of holiday musical favorites and featured performer soprano Elizabeth Norman.

Also taking part were the Elgin Choral Union, Elgin Children’s Chorus and Midwest Dance Collective. There also was a special visit from Santa.
