Des Plaines Youth Commission hosts Toys for Tots Family Blast
Members of the Des Plaines Youth Commission recently hosted the Toys for Tots Family Blast at Prairie Lakes Community Center, 515 E. Thacker St.
The event was attended by approximately 275 people. Attendees brought food donation items for the Des Plaines Self Help Closet & Food Pantry and toys for the United States Marine’s Toys for Tots Program.
Pizza, bingo with prizes, face painting by Jewels the Clown and the Youth Advisory Board, arts and crafts, story time with Cheryl from the Des Plaines Library, Dance Dance Revolution, a bounce house, T-ball inflatable, basketball, hula hoops, games, and a steeplechase run and long jump, compliments of Athletico highlighted the event.
