Increased minimum wage helps everyone
Raising our unconscionably low minimum wage to at least $15 an hour -- it is around $20 or more in Australia and some Western European countries -- is not only moral, it is good for our country's economy. To refute Republican propaganda, consumers are the job creators, not the 1 percent super rich elite.
An unreasonably low minimum wage weakens the middle class, which lowers demand for good and services, which in turn weakens the economy.
After all, everyone is better off when everyone is better off.
