City needs to get replacement trees planted

Des Plaines needs to be more aggressive in replacing our lost tree canopy. We can’t wait for residents to request or pay for trees — because many won’t make the effort. This is a neighborhood issue, not an issue for individual residents.

Besides the lost of beautiful, tree-lined streets, lots of large trees also absorb huge amounts of water, which helps prevent neighborhood flooding.

Come on, Matt and alder-people — take that casino money and replant our trees!
