Community Concert Band Presents A Christmas Festival

Family traditions handed down through the generations keep us connected with our loved ones, friends, and neighbors. Creating new traditions takes just a little time and energy to plan. This year spend an afternoon ringing in the holidays with the Des Plaines Park District Community Concert Band as they present their annual holiday program, “A Christmas Festival.”

The band will play holiday favorites and songs of the season including Joy to the World, Greensleeves, Do You Hear What I Hear, Santa at the Symphony, Fanfare and Procession On an Old English Carol, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Selections from White Christmas, A Celebration of Christmas, Highlights from Wicked, plus The Ultimate Christmas Sing-Along!

The Des Plaines Park District Community Concert Band, under the direction of Lawrence J. Carle, performs on Sunday, December 15, 3:00pm at the Prairie Lakes Theater. Tickets are available at the door: adults $5; seniors and students $3; and a family of four $12, free for children under the age of 6. Prairie Lakes Theater, 515 E. Thacker Street, Des Plaines.
