Iran deal better than saber-rattling

President Obama’s negotiation to limit Iran’s nuclear capability is a significant step forward. It’s better than futile saber-rattling and offers a potential halt to 20 percent uranium enrichment and further development at the Arak plutonium reactor.

Obviously, this “first stage” is better than hoping more stringent sanctions will reverse decades of Iran’s nuclear ambitions. It’s also preferable to an attack on Iran and a devastating war in the Middle East!

Senators Kirk, Schumer, Menendez and other hawks should stop their criticism until verification protocols determine whether or not the agreement is working.
