Examples of gifts include bundles of wood for widows in Afghanistan, literacy classes for women escaping human trafficking, and a goat to supply a family with milk and a means of income.

In addition to Christmas Village, Church of the Resurrection will present its annual Christmas Festival on December 15, at 5:00 p.m. at the Church. The Festival is a family friendly evening of Christmas carols and a theatrical Christmas story. The community is welcome to attend.

Church of the Resurrection also invites the community to its Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 5:00 p.m. on December 24.

Church of the Resurrection is part of the Anglican Church in North America and will celebrate its one year anniversary at the W. Union Street location on December 8. The renovated building was purchased at an auction and transformed from a factory to a multi-purpose church home, with a sanctuary, narthex, café, offices, classrooms, and storage. For 20 years prior to opening the W. Union Street facility, the congregation met weekly in a high school auditorium.
