Legion post grateful for all the support

Within the past few days, members of Des Plaines American Legion Post 36 have been located at several stores in the Des Plaines area distributing small American flags to the general public and asking for donations to assist in the programs at our Post to help veterans, both able and hospitalized, to try and make their lives a little more comfortable.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the hundreds of people who donated to our cause, and especially to thank the businesses that allowed us on their property to make this program the outstanding success it was. Without your cooperation, we could not have done it.

One of our mottoes is "Veterans Helping Veterans", but it is you, the generous citizens of this community, and you business owners and managers who make all this possible. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
