An ego that comes along once a century

Our fairly recent improvement in intrapersonal communication, has been a blessing and a curse. The bull can be distributed with the speed of light, the corrections by snail mail. There is a penalty to pay when one gets too cute.

The situation that our president has gotten himself into is a prime example. His situation is unique because he pounded us with his bull 25 to 30 times on national TV. Think about that. The man felt that he had the supreme power within himself, that he could mesmerize us into his way of thinking, otherwise, why would he continue even after the lie became common knowledge?

Part of the answer is he felt as long as the Main Street Media went along, he would get a no-harm, no-foul call from them and he could continue merrily down the yellow brick road.

An ego like that comes along only once in a century.
