Tips for capturing different images of the changing seasons

A single leaf hanging on the tip of a tree branch can provide a different viewpoint on the change of seasons for area photographers as fall morphs into winter

Interesting photos, like this one taken in Lisle, can be taken when you use a telephoto lens on subjects that are only a few feet away. Using a telephoto this way, and with a large lens opening, throws a potentially distracting background way out of focus. This isolates the subject from the background very nicely.
