Cibo Racconto's winter warm-ups
Temperatures may be falling, but Cibo Racconto's hot winter specials are turning up the heat. On Mondays, try the $4 pasta marinara dishes and on Wednesdays order dinner for two (two pastas or entrees and a bottle of Ciccariello Pinot Grigio, Mezzo Chardonnay, Ciccariello Merlot or Mezzo Cabernet) for $20. Bring the family from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and enjoy one side, one salad, two pasta dishes and one entree for $36 (for four people).

Enjoy Burgundy wines at The Tavern
Indulge in the wines and cuisine of Burgundy at a wine dinner at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at The Tavern. Led by Bob Bansberg, a wine and beverage professor at Kendall Culinary College in Chicago, the evening includes an oysters Rockefeller-like dish, butter-poached lobster, sweet corn crisp and a variety of sausages and pates, as well as cheeses, dried fruit and walnut bread -- with wines to complement. $95 per person, not including tax and gratuity. $50 deposit required.

Clementi's beer dinner
Tyranena Brewing Company partners with Clementi's Pizzeria and Bar for a four-course beer dinner at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21. Eats include a venison fennel sausage, pumpkin and crab bisque soup, pork chops Italiano and tiramisu. Beers on the menu are Headless Man Amber Altbier, Painted Ladies Pumpkin Spice Ale, Bitter Women IPA and "The Devil Made Me Do It" Coffee Imperial Oatmeal Porter. $30 per person, plus tax and tip.
