Good home and school spells success

Why is the Herald making excuses for bilingual students?

A family can teach their children four languages simultaneously and the children should do well in all subjects in school. It appears that the Herald may have hidden racist tendencies against Spanish-speaking students.

Educational rigor and accomplishment comes from the home coupled with a good school.

Palatine High School has over 40 percent Hispanic (students), but Fremd has less than 3 percent Hispanic. Perhaps Fremd needs to experience diversity a bit more and share their educational success by increasing Hispanic students to at least 20 percent.
