Foundation grateful for Stevenson support

The Christopher Steele Foundation thanks the Adlai E. Stevenson High School National Honor Society for selecting us to be the charity supported by this year’s Spirit Fest held on Saturday, Sept. 21, which kicked off Stevenson Homecoming Week festivities.

It was an amazing evening full of fun, good food, entertainment and festivities. Chris would have loved it.

The foundation thanks the Stevenson High School National Honor Society and especially the executive board for their hard work in putting on the amazing event and the Stevenson faculty, staff, students and the entire Stevenson community for their generosity, love and support.

There were also many fundraising activities by different teams and groups within Stevenson leading up to the event, so we won’t try to thank them by name lest we omit someone but please know how much we appreciate all you’ve done. The $21,381 generated by the event will help the Foundation continue to support the angiosarcoma cancer research of Dr. Mark Agulnik at Northwestern Memorial Hospital where Chris, a class of 2000 Patriot, was treated. And it will provide annual scholarships to a Stevenson hockey and baseball player, the sports Chris played.

We have so many happy memories of Chris’ years as a Patriot, and Spirit Fest has added to them. In loving memory of Chris,

Ellen Steele, Chris’s Mom and Christopher Steele Foundation Executive
