The Palatine Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration will host a drug "takeback" event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the police department, 595 N. Hicks Road. The public can bring in expired, unused prescription drugs with no questions asked, for safe disposal. Medications should be sealed in clear plastic zip-lock bags and syringes must be capped and packaged separately from medication. No liquids will be accepted.
