Pafko as a neighbor was one of a kind

Andy Pafko, our neighbor and friend, lived on Blackhawk Drive in Mount Prospect. He was a true gentleman, and we enjoyed having him attend our block functions for many years. He was always open to telling his baseball stories, signing autographs and welcoming us in to see his baseball treasures.

Andy will be missed. He was one of a kind. Our daughter Renee made a Cubs banner and hung it on Glendale Lane around the corner from where he lived to let everyone know he was loved. May he rest in peace. Thanks for being a real-life hero, Andy. There are not enough like you to go around.
