The defendants entered the 20-year-old victim's home in unincorporated Des Plaines the afternoon of March 25, punched him and hit him with the hand weight, sheriff's police said. The victim, who knew his attackers, was treated for non life-threatening injuries, police said.

The guilty verdict was pronounced by Cook County Judge Kay Hanlon following a bench trial prosecutors said.

Ungureanu and Fogell, both 22, next appear in court on Dec. 4 for sentencing.
