Daily Herald report

On Saturday, Oct. 12, 16 young singers will compete for the title of Mundelein Idol. The show will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Mundelein High School auditorium. Contestants will each sing a song during Round 1, after which the audience will vote for their favorites. Those who receive the most votes will sing again in Round 2, followed by another audience vote that will narrow the field to the top three. They will then perform a third song and the audience will choose the new Mundelein Idol. Admission and voting tickets are $10 each with the funds going to support the travels of the Mundelein Sound, Lights and SoundFX show choirs.
