Shutdown affecting military meals

So the United States government shutdown isn't affecting the military. Tell that to my grandson.

All Marine commissaries in Afghanistan are being shut down effective Oct. 1 after they run out of perishable food. I guess my Marine grandson will have to be satisfied with eating MREs for the next seven months or as long as the U.S. Congress is ruled by the likes of Ted Cruz.
